Description: Derived from the pleural effusion of a 22 year old male patient with metastatic renal adenocarcinoma. The cells have been reported to be growth inhibited by human interferons.

Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 1-2×10000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin; 5% CO2; 37°C.
