CellBank Australia partners with leading overseas repositories to ensure that researchers in the southern hemisphere can get the high quality cell lines that they need, easily and cheaply, to conduct world-class medical research. 

CellBank Australia has a growing collection of its own novel cell lines. Through its Catalogue Deposit service, CellBank Australia now has 50 Australian-derived cancer cell lines available for worldwide distribution. Many more cell lines are being banked for distribution purposes via the Catalogue Deposit service.

CellBank Australia has partnered with the European Bank for induced pluripotent Stem Cells (EBiSC) to enable our Oceania-based customers to access over 950 induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines representing over 45 different diseases. This includes gene-edited iPSC cells and pre-differentiated iPSC-Neurons.

CellBank Australia also distributes more than 1,800 quality-validated cell lines supplied by the European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC (UK)) to Australia and New Zealand. Of those, ~700 ECACC-supplied lines are held as inventory by CellBank Australia.

In addition, CellBank Australia distributes more than 1,000 quality-validated cell lines supplied by the JCRB (Japan) Cell Bank to Australia and New Zealand. CellBank Australia is currently taking steps to establish an inventory of popular JCRB Cell Bank cell lines. See our Collections below.

Shipping Cost

A flat rate of $110 is charged per shipment to Sydney their metro area, plus GST. For other Australian capital cities and their metro area, the rate varies between $170 (NSW, VIC, SA, QLD) and $190 (WA, TAS), plus GST. A flat rate of $210 (ex GST) is charged for regional area.
