Our Custom Culture service frees up time for time-poor research scientists and gives them a ‘bank’ of vials from their cell line at repository grade. We will culture the cell line using our standard operating procedures, generating a master bank for return to the requesting laboratory for storage and/or culture.

Description: Custom Culture service available for research scientists who wish to have a ‘bank’ of vials produced at repository grade for use within their research laboratory.

The service typically includes:

• Generation of a master bank.

• Sterility testing.

• Mycoplasma testing.

• Authentication testing.

• Viability testing of vials to confirm that vials can be thawed successfully.

Terms and Conditions:

Please note that our service is suitable for research purposes only. Furthermore we can only culture cell lines classified as Physical Containment Level 1 (PC1) and Level 2 (PC2). The full terms and conditions of our Custom Culture service can be found in the ‘Attachments’ tab.

Upon availability of incubator space the service takes approximately two months to complete.

Prices:

Given that the service is customised to suit your needs the price for the service varies with the reagents and time required for your specific cell line.

Orders:

Given the customised nature of this service, we do not accept orders online. Thus you are not able to add the service to your cart. However, to place an order offline:

• Contact us using the ‘Ask a Question‘ tab and tell us about your needs.

• Download a ‘Custom Culture Request’ form which is available from the ‘Attachments‘ tab.

• Please complete and return the form(s) via email (cellbank@cmri.org.au).

• Using the information provided in the Request form we will prepare and email a quote to you.

• Please accept the quote by return email.

• Prepare your cells and ship them to CellBank Australia in accordance with the instructions on the Custom Culture Request form.
