Description
Description: Derived from pooled newly hatched Aedes aegypti larvae. The cells are susceptible to a range of arboviruses.

Growth Medium: Mitsuhashi and Maramorosch Insect Medium (pH 7.0) + 2mM Glutamine + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-5 x10000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin for 5 mins only 28°C. After quenching the trypsin with fresh mediumdislodge the cells by gentle scraping.
