Description
Description: Derived from a brain metastasis of a 47 year old female with oat cell carcinoma of the lung.

Growth Properties: Suspension and attached
Morphology: Round & Refractile and also epithelial
Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: In standard cell culture flasks some cells may attach. Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) by firstly collecting the cells in suspension and then using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA to remove the attached cells. Seed new flasks at 2-3 x10,000 cells/cm²; 5% CO2; 37°C.
