Description: Derived from the pleural effusion of a 55-year-old Caucasian male.

Growth Properties: Semi-adherent
Morphology: Large Cell Aggregates
Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Maintain cultures between 3-9×100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Cells form large aggregates and some may attach loosely to surfaces and can be aspirated or shaken off.
