Description
Description: Derived from the lung tissue of a normal germ-free, 18 day gestation, Sprague-Dawley rat foetus. At least 45 population doublings expected.

Growth Medium: Ham’s F12 + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:4 i.e. seeding at 2-5×10, 000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C. Cells tend to attach very strongly to tissue culture flasks and may take up to 60 minutes to detach in 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA.
