Description: Rat hepatic stellate cell(HSC) line immortalized with SV40 T antigen.

Growth Properties:
Morphology: spindle-shape
Growth Medium: William’s E medium with 10^-6M dexamethasone, 10^-7M insulin, 25ng/ml EGF, and 10% fetal bovine serum. or RPMI-1640 medium with 10% fetal bovine serum.
Subculturing Procedure: Cells were prepared after treatment with 0.05% trypsin and 0.53mM EDTA-4Na for 3-5 min. Subculture every 4-6 days and medium change every 2-3 days. Lower concentration of cells on subculture may create colonies.
