Description
Description: Established from a grade III adenocarcinoma of the bowel of a 51 year old Caucasian female. The cells produce CEA and are tumorigenic in nude mice. Electron microscopy reveals prominent golgi apparatus.

Growth Medium: L15 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-3×10000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; No CO2; 37°C. Cells do not reach confluency but will grow in small islands.
