Description: Human adherent monolayer cell line with multidrug resistance obtained from a benign goiter and chronic thyroiditis.

Growth Properties:

Morphology: spindle-shaped with giant cells

Growth Medium: 1 to 1 mixture of Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium and RPMI1640 medium containing 10% heat inactivated fetal bovine serum.

Subculturing Procedure: Cells are harvested after treatment with 0.25% trypsin.
