Description: Derived from malignant cells of a pleural effusion of 37 year old caucasian male with diffuse histiocytic lymphoma. One of only a few human lines still expressing many of the monocytic like characteristics exhibited by cells of histiocytic origin.

Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Maintain cultures between 2-9×100000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Cells may take up to 72 hours until confluent.
