Description: This cell line was established from a retro-peritoneal metastasis of a non seminomatous germ cell carcinoma.

Growth Properties: Adherent
Morphology: Epithelial-like
Growth Medium: DMEM (High Glucose) + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS). No sodium pyruvate.
Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:5 i.e. seeding at >6×10,000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 10% CO2; 37°C. Cells need to be maintained at a high cell density.
