Description
Description: Derived from embryonic cells of Drosophila melanogaster. Useful for virus studies, particularly picornaviruses and rhabdoviruses.

Growth Medium: Schneider’s Drosophila medium + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Maintain cultures between 3-9×100,000 cells/ml. Cells may semi-adhere to the tissue culture flask, shake gently to dislodge; culture at 25°C; No CO2.
