Description
Description: Derived from normal rat lung tissue. The cells possess elevated levels of specific enzymes involved in the synthesis of phosphatidyl choline. Osmiophilic lamellar inclusions are observed in cell pellets from mass culture.

Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:4 i.e. seeding at 3-4×10000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
