Description
Description: Full name Faof1C2 is a dedifferentiated variant of Fao. These cells continue to express tyrosine aminotransferase, but the liver-specific markers are mostly absent.

Growth Medium: Coon’s modified Ham’s F12 (or Kaign’s modified Ham’s F12 + 45mg/L ascorbic acid + 18mg/L Inositol) + 2mM Glutamine + 5% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Split semi-confluent cultures 1:50 i.e. seeding at 2×1000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C. Saturation density is reached at 10×10,0,0,000 cells/10cm² dish.
