Description
Description: This cell line has been derived by the selection of the human amelanotic melanoma cell line C32 for 6-thioguanine resistance. The parent cell line C32 was established from a melanoma from a 53 year old Caucasian male. The cells are resistant to 6-thioguanine and sensitive to HAT medium. They are deficient in hypoxanthine ? guanine phosphoribosyl transferase (HGPRT-). The cell line is also known as C32-r16TG. The cells are tumorigenic in nude mice inoculated subcutaneously with 10E7 cells.
