Description
Description: Derived from CV-1 simian cells transformed by origin-defective mutant of SV40 which codes for wildtype T Ag. Possible host for propagation of pure populations of recombinant SV40 virus. The cells should be handled under laboratory containment level 2.

Growth Medium: DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Split semi-confluent cultures 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4×10,000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C. In order to prevent syncitia formation, do not allow cells become confluent.
Release Conditions: Yes – CITES (Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) licence required for all orders outside the European Union
