Description
Description: From 2 normal young adult males. Capable of growth in suspension (spinner) cultures. Useful for growth of several viruses including arboviruses, Coxsackie A4, A8, B1, HSV, smallpox and Asian strain influenza.

Growth Medium: EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4×10, 000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin; 5% CO2; 37°C. Cells will grow in a piled up manner.
