Description
Description: This cell line was derived from a fourth passage nude mouse xenograft of tumour fragments obtained from a 43 year old Asian female patient prior to therapy. The cells have a high concentration of receptors for EGF. This cell line has lost both chromosomes 8 and 11. This is one of 14 colorectal carcinoma cell lines derived by JG Park and associates during the years 1982 to 1985. These cells are tumourigenic in nude mice when 10E7 cells are inoculated subcutaneously.
