Description: Derived from the heart of a normal female Russell’s viper. Unlike cell line VSW the cells do not produce C type particles.

Growth Medium: EMEM (HBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) (Heat Inactivated).
Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 i.e. seeding at 3×10000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin; 5% CO2; 28-30°C.
Release Conditions: Yes – CITES (Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) licence required for all orders outside the European Union
