Description

Description: Derived from a spontaneous Dunning R-3327 rat prostatic cancer. The cells have been shown to be anaplastic with low metastatic ability and non-responsive to androgen.

Growth Properties: Adherent

Morphology: Epithelial

Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 250nM Dexamethasone (DXMT) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculturing Procedure: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:10 to 1:20 i.e. seeding at 2-4 x1000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
