Description

Description: Derived from the bone marrow aspirate of a 67-year-old Caucasian male suffering from small cell lung carcinoma.

Growth Properties: Suspension

Morphology:

Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculturing Procedure: Maintain cultures between 300,000 and 1,500,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Cells are difficult to count as they form large clumps. Cells grow as floating aggregates and become confluent within 2 days.
