Description: Exhibits marked variations in differentiation when monitored for basophilic granule development, histamine content and membrane receptor sites for IgE.

Growth Medium: EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1mM Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10-20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculturing Procedure: Maintain cultures between 3×100,000 to 1×1,0, 000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Treat as suspension when sub-culturing. Some fibroblast-like cells within the population will attach. Please disregard these and subculture as per normal suspension cell lines.
